First time entered BGB saw 2 (a couple?) for 6 species - must have expelled the children in 2011! Exception was Magpie 7, seven still in a group, top species. 2 Jay did not turn up today. Only 2 starlings landed, but 3 groups flying past 8+10+12 = 20 which is first time this year. No sparrows here as usual for 3 years, but round the next street still a group of 8+ . Used to see about 13 before we moved here. There were 12 males and 1 female! Could the balances of sexes being upset explain the perceived decline of sparrows?

Our flock needs to get together...I have 3 males and 9 females!
