Does our hour of watching for BGBW have to be contiguous? Or can we have two half hours, or even four quarters with some gaps?

Work is for those people that don't Bird-watch!!!!
I split mine up into 4 quarters as to see all my back garden (not big just odd shaped) I have to walk between kitchen and living room so end up doing a bit of walking and take a 5 min break to go sit down......of course thats when all the birds show up grrrrr lol.
