I have had problems with a Sparrowhawk. The trouble is he it comes onto the birdtable and eats sunflower seeds! luring the little birds into a false sense of security. I and the little birds are fortunate that my golden labrador, Jack, senses when he's around and barks furiously to 'see him off'
No, I don't feel bad about it. He's a strange bird and rarely seems to catch anything. However he cannot have grown to the size he is on sunflower seeds alone, I'm sure.

Well if you don't want him giddysue, send him round to my garden, where he/she will be admired for the wild beauty he is. Sparrowhawks are all part of nature's rich tapestry, and he might give my cats something to think about as well.
Having said that, I really can't see how any raptor could eat seed. Their bill's are totally the wrong shape. Please try and get a photo, if it really is a Sparrowhawk there'll be a lot of interest.
