My garden is always packed with birds all day long. But the last two days not really any birds at all. Has anyone else noticed it in their gardens?
Thanks for the article Ian, and for the other replies of comfort, and I'm sure that you are right although its still a bit like Hitchcock in reverse. However I heard my first birdsong for weeks while waiting for a bus yesterday so I'm sure it will happen, but when?

Goldfinches are very social. I believe they tend to fly around in family groups. Swallows chatter constantly as well, but I think the only birdsong to be heard from around now until late winter is that of the Robin. Maybe the Yellowhammers will sing for another week or two.

I live in Liverpool and always have loads of birds in my garden but over the last few days I have only had 1 female blackbird none of my other birds are no where to be found and its worrying me, whats happened to them all?
They will be back, Meesha. There is an abundance of natural food around at the moment so they are taking advantage of that. It won't be long before your garden is bursting again.
Cheers, Linda.
