I have noticed for the past few years that the finch,s in my garden have foot disorder,they are covered with a growth that is so bad it looks like they have club feet,but they look healthy,has anyone noticed this in thier areas.

Yes I have had both a male & female chaffinch with this,my sister reckons it's some sort of viral growth

thank you wood for your reply, what part of the country did you observe them, I live in south glamorgan,it would be interesting to know if this problem is country wide,and how or why it relate,s to finch,s.
hi this morning i had a chaffinch in the garden with a massive growth on his right foot,it was almost like a web foot similar to a duck. like yours it was healthy and eating,i will have my camera ready next time and hopefully get a picture to post,then you can see if its the same as yours,we live in n.wales by the way.
