We have a treecreeper that visits us most days but lately we have frequently seen it feeding on the ground. Any ideas why? Perhaps food is getting scarce on the treetrunks? I have not previously seen this behaviour.
this is not a treecreaper this is a blue tit i get 2 blue tits in my garden they are cute little birds

Sorry, cheeseycheesecakes, but you did not look carefully enough at the photo!
There is indeed a blue tit on the right, but the Treecreeper is on the left - quite well camoflaged by the dead leaves.
I think it must be because of all the hard frosts cutting down food on the trees that is making it search for food on the ground..
