A few from the Visitor Centre feeders.

It was quite foggy this morning which meant I didn't arrive at Minsmere until just before my afternoon shift on Reception started.  It's always good to have a camera handy as you never know what might appear:

This dunnock actually sat still and posed.  Lovely.

They have such beautiful markings, and their song is one of the nicest things about them.

Mrs Chaffie looks around her warily.

One of several robins lurking in the area.

The blue tits really appreciated the extra treat.

Well, this makes a change from the grey squirrels.  A muntjac deer!

'How do I get to the food?' she wonders.

'Not fair!  It's high time you made these feeders more deer friendly.'

Enjoy, as always.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • Lovely shots, Clare. The Dunnock is one of my favourite birds to hear singing. Your first Deer photo has a very (pleasant) looking tail.!! :-)

  • What lovely photo Clare - give me a Muntjac any day in place of grey squirrels  lol     I love the pretty Dunnock too, the sweet female chaffinch, robin and the blue tits enjoying their  fat-cake treat.     It was misty this side too first thing, was 10.30 before it really cleared - was  cold here too !    3 degrees at 9.30am  rising to 8 degrees by afternoon.

  • Good shots of the Dunnock Clare, I have three around the garden at the moment, should be interesting come mating time!!   Now I don't get Muntjac deer here though they could come and eat the grass for me anytime, lovely photos together with the pheasants.

    Lot to learn
