I arrived for my morning reception duty at Minsmere today with high hopes of getting out on to the reserve and seeing the glossy ibis this afternoon. It was spotted on the East Scrape first thing but as the morning went on it was clear our bird had flown as visitor after visitor came back to say they couldn't find it anywhere! Oh well - maybe another time. At least the feeders were full:

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Shame about missing Glossy Ibis Clare, remember trekking around Stodmarsh after one a couple of years ago, lots of peeps saw it but not me!!

Sorry the Glossy Ibis wasn't around but lovely to see all the other birds and the sweet blackbird sitting in the middle of the water dish lol I see you also have those pesky Cyrils !
