I've written to my MP to express my concern at the government's plans to weaken wildlife legislation as revealed in the Chancellor's Autumn Statement.
It's about time the landowners of this country realised that the country side and all of its inhabitants including birds of prey have their place. Stop this unnecessary slaughter now!
I have been an overseas member of Birdlife Malta for 10 years because I am in awe of the work they do to try and combat the thousands of brutal hunters and trappers of 'our' migrating birds, with precious little support from their government, which refuses to fully implement the EU Birds Directive....and I really love Malta.
