For the first time in 15 years we got a family of blue tits in our box. They only started visiting three weeks ago. They've been backwards and forwards to the box and we could hear chicks. From this morning though they have abandoned. I'm guessing they have left it too late in the season. We live in the north east so colder as well.

Always a disappointment to witness a failed nest ... been very low numbers of insects so far this year, cool, wet & windy weather a lot to blame!
