Hi, I found a bluetit chick in my garden yesterday. It was hopping around the lawn. I moved it to under a bush so it was less exposed and watched and waited. Within half an hour mum (I presume) turned up and periodically came to check on baby, looked like she was bringing food. It is still there this morning, looks in ok health, chirping away and mum is still visiting regularly and swooping at magpies and other birds. In the meantime, I’m not letting my cat out, but can’t prevent others wandering in. We have lots of wildlife here. In the evenings I feed foxes and hedgehogs. Just wondering how long until baby bird can fly away. Does anyone have any ideas?
