Feather Identification

Hi Roy, can't help I'm afraid, but some sort of size indication would be useful for people that know their feathers :o)

Apologies. I'm a bit of an idiot, of course the size is needed. About 1.5" in length. Thank you.

Thanks Paul, we do indeed have lots of Mallards on the canal and as our garden goes right up to the canal they venture into the garden. It looks like that is the most likely answer. Thank you very much.

I have Egyptian geese at my local nature reserve and occasionally I see ones just like that. If you go online and search up Egyptian goose feather some are striped just like that.

Thanks for that. I’m not sure we have any Egyptian geese but I’ll check it out online as you say.
