  I think Little Egrets are great photo subjects and it's a pleasure when they pose for you. Well done for capturing the moment beautifully.

  Thanks so much, Nigel - I was just in 7th Heaven on that day, with so much to see and so many just pottering about, or standing still in the shallows. It's the pesky woodland birds I have real problems with. But it wouldn't be half such fun if it was easy!

  A beautiful photo of the Egret, Karen. It also shows a good bit of the environment which I do like to see in a wildlife photo. Very nice indeed. :-)

  I'll second Alan's comment, it is a stunning photo, and especially the bit about getting the exposure right on a white bird. I guess like me, he's had a few marred by the brilliance of the white plumage on a really sunny day.
