It has to be the red kite all the time a beautiful majestic bird!!!!
Anyday no matter the mood red kite
I love the Kestrel, I like to sit and watch it hunt.
John.
I'm with Cottingly on this, would have voted for the White tailed eagle if it were on the list, but then again I'd also have gone for my local star the magnificent Marsh harrier, or the Hobby, or the lovely little Merlin, or... or... or...
... really they're all amazing!
With the end of the poll fast approaching the red kite has once again taken the lead from the peregrine, but only just! Interesting battle developing for the minor placings as well with the sparrowhawk jumping ahead of the buzzard. The kestrel is still a solid third.
As Matt rightly says 'really they're all amazing' so thank you for sharing your comments and for taking the time to cast your votes, we will announce the winner of the poll tomorrow!
Warden Intern at Otmoor.
The poll has now closed and the winners are....Red kites. I voted for peregrines but have no complaints that these magnificent birds won. They are becoming a common sight in many parts of the UK and hopefully will continue to spread. Thank you all for voting.
