You've been introduced to the contestants over the week so now is the time to vote for your favourite raptor!
Yes where is the osprey option?

Hi everyone
Thank you for your comments and votes so far, it's a close run thing at the moment!
With regards to the species to choose from, we picked this five as they are all well known and familiar birds of prey around the UK. However, we do realise that there are others species of birds of prey out there and we are planning on doing similar polls in the future that will feature various other species, so watch this space!

Kestrel because, I can remember as a child, it was the first BoP I could recognise.
The Avatar say's it al lol
hi Ian
Can we have another BoP survey for our favourites for the other birds such as White tailed Eagle, Osprey, Falcon etc.
Maybe a choice of 12 species would be interesting, and expand on what has been mentioned already but more choices to be represented
Regards
Kathy and Dave
I've voted for the Sparrowhawk. There is just something about them that makes me love them - and I always bet excited when I see one...like I did earlier!
Love them all too although went for Peregrine as they are awe-inspiring birds to watch for speed and manoeuvrability! I''ll never forget hearing one which dived a few hundred feet as I stood in a disused quarry! Never heard a sound like it!

Very hard to choose as I love them all.
My first ever sighting of Red Kites recently makes them special to me, but I have to go with my all time favourite - the Kestrel.

Only a couple of days to go on this poll and the peregrine has 'stooped' into the lead. In hot pursuit the red kite is winging its way into second place. There is still time for the buzzard, kestrel and sparrowhawk fans out there to cast their votes!
We have a subject in mind for the next poll which we should put up at the end of this week!
Unknown said: I don't suppose it will come as any surprise to anyone but my vote has to be for the red kite. They are graceful, colourful and what's more they are virtually a garden bird. TJ

Show off!!!! LOL
I also voted Red Kite after my wonderful day at Gigrin Farm when we saw about 300 all at once. It was a close call though - I love my visiting sparrowhawks.
Cheers, Linda.
