Welcome to the RSPB Communities Christmas Advent calendar! Rather than chocolates (sorry), with each day that leads up to the big day, why not open a virtual Advent calendar window and reveal a teaser for you to ponder or post a picture. There is no right or wrong answer, the answers will simply be what you want to appear in that window. It’s Christmas, so let’s have some fun!Claire
As ever, I can't pick just one either.
So in no particular order:
Blackbird, Willow warbler, Cuckoo

Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can
This is a tough one! Depends time of year. In winter I love the soft whistle of Bull Finch and that sweet tinkle of Waxwings. Great Tit's "ti-ti tyy" in March means spring is coming. First trumpets of Whooper Swans in early spring fills my heart with joy. And in summer Cocoo, Common Rosefinch and ... oh, I could go on and on :)

Has to be the call of the Kestrel flying in with food for mate in nest with young.....means that I'll get lovely viewing & wonderful pics to keep forever!
I can't really pick a favourite. So, in no particular order Robin, Blackcap, Nightingale, Blackbird ......... and on and on.

Oh gosh! Yes, the Curlew! Got to add that one! Lol!
This a tough one to choose with so many beautiful singing birds out there; Robin singing on full throttle, most types of Warbler, Blackbird with its many variations or a beautiful Song Thrush for me :) cannot choose just one !
