Welcome to the RSPB Communities Christmas Advent calendar! Rather than chocolates (sorry), with each day that leads up to the big day, why not open a virtual Advent calendar window and reveal a teaser for you to ponder or post a picture. There is no right or wrong answer, the answers will simply be what you want to appear in that window. It’s Christmas, so let’s have some fun!Claire
I guess "Frozen Planet" all episodes was my favourite Wildlife program :)

I think Earthflight will take some beating especially the raptor film clips.Going back over the years some of the older tv footage was pretty good as well ad always worth a second look.

Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can
Life on Earth - the first great Attenborough series. It set a benchmark for all the other great series he did. As an aside, if you're old enough, Hans and Lotte Hass - as a kid I found their stuff amazing.
"Let loose the Kraken!"
Wow SV, there's a blast from the past - sadly, I am old enough to remember but, hey, wasn't it exciting?
Edit: I have to mention George Cansdale too, such an unlikely candidate for being involved with animals, so staid & 'old school!'
Wasn't Cansdale the bloke who was in charge of London Zoo who Gerald Durrell loathed?
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

Some of the old Survival serief were pretty good for their time as well.
Day 6:Who is your most admired conservationist?
Easy! Sir David Attenborough!
Mind you, Dominic Dyer is pretty impressive currently with the badger cull and other welfare issues!

Just pipping the awesome Sir David Attenborough, for me, is the late Gerald Durrell - he achieved so much and clearly loved the natural world above everything else.
Sir Peter Scott is worthy of a mention here!
