Norfolk Wildlife Quiz - Pics to identify - The Answers!

As I've mentioned in other threads, Mrs WJ and I were away last week on the North Norfolk coast.  As usual, far too many pics were taken, many rubbish.  As I was sorting them out, I found a couple that I thought I'd put on the "Bad pics of Fab wildlife" thread - then thought of an alternative.

Here are a number of pictures - your mission, should you choose to accept it - is to work out just what each one is a picture of.  Some are easy, some are harder.  I'll post the answer pictures in a day or two.  Good luck!

#1 - two parts - what are they (that's easy) and how many are there??

#2 - what is it?

#3 - the wings of what?

#4 - bit harder this one - what is it?

#5 - I know it's a Mallard - but what's he after under the water?

#6 - what is it?

#7 - what's behind the wave?

  • OK - some answers....

#1 & 2 - Golden Plover of course.  I have no idea how many there are - well done if you counted them, I was simply going to say "lots" :-)

#3 - Black Headed Gull of course.  Hopping into the air and diving in, not sure what it was after but obviously tasty

#4 - this was who peered out at us!

#5 - Mrs Mallard was under water!  This is how Mr reacted when he finished.....

Mrs just needed a wash & brush up

    #6 Widgeon having a bath

#7 Juvenile Gannet skimming the waves
