Hi
just saying hello to everyone, I live in a small village inside the Welsh National Coastal Park in Pembrokeshire, very rural and lucky enough to have a wide diversity of birds as I have woodland, coast, farmland and lakes all near to me. Only recently moved here from the town and thoroughly enjoying it, I love to see the different birds here compared to the town although only 5 miles away.
New birds for me in my garden are Greater spotted woodpecker, Jay, RedStart (end of oct), Redwing and just along the field at the side of my house lapwings.
Hey farmer, farmer, put away the D.D.T now. Give me spots on my apples, but leave me the birds and the bees, please!
Hi Anne, welcome to the forum. :-)
Hi Anne
Welcome from me too. I do envy you where you live. It's a place I would love to visit. Would love to walk the coastal paths.
I hope you enjoy it on here, it's a lovely place to be.
Regards
Kerry

Thanks for the warm welcome :)
I have been birdwatching for a number of years I think my favorite sighting was a young Osprey at Bosherston Lily ponds, about a mile away from my home in May 1998, geez hard to believe that was 12 years ago now ! it stayed for the bank holiday weekend and was an absolute joy to watch. The Chough are still doing well and I understand from a friend they are increasing down on the Lizard in Cornwell too which is wonderful.
