I've just joined the forum after seeing dozens of fieldfares in Gosport. Fieldfares have that effect on some people! I don't know what'll happen if I see a redwing!

Nature Is Amazing - Let Us Keep It That Way
Welcome, A Bear.. A lot of people have been saying they've seen Fieldfares where they havn't seen them before, (we have had one in the garden, on & off this week). It must be this weather making them search in more unusual places for food. They are a pretty bird, seen up close.
Welcome A Bear. Well done on your fieldfares, and let's hope you get the redwings as well.
Cheers, Linda.

Welcome to the forum A Bear
The Fieldfares can't go much further south without crossing the Channel. I reckon they wished they had stayed in Scandinavia - it's probably warmer there.
How about joining the Red Arrows if you see Redwings?

Hi TeeJay
I think the fieldfares were looking for the ferryport to try and get back to the balmy Scandinavian winter. The Red Arrows don't roost round here.
Hello A Bear, enjoy the forum and seeing the fieldfare.
Hi Brenda
it's thanks to those fieldfare that I have renewed my interest in birdwatching. Yarooooooooo!
That's great news, A Bear. They all need even extra help right now. Do enjoy your birdwatching.
