I did join in June but obviously forgot about it, struggled to reset my pasword & profile etc but I'm now in here. Nice to meet sensible people who love wildlife and it's nice to see no nastiness.

Hi everyone, thankyou so much for your replies. I enjoyed reading all of the topics last night. I've been on a magical mystery tour in the countryside today looking for a particular garden centre/ pet shop. I got a great view of a buzzard sat on the hedge about 2 metres away from the car, he looked as if to say "what are you looking at" then flew off. It made my day, never been so close to a wild one before :-D Thats made my Christmas!
Hi Birdmum,
I love the nickname - it sounds like quite a few of us on this forum!
Welcome to the forum. It is a good forum, with lots of tips, good advice, friendly, and lots of laughs along the way. There are also a few excellent photographers amongst us (not me, I hasten to add) and we are frequently treated to wonderful shots of birds, and sometimes other critters.
Congratulations on the buzzard - like you, I have never been close to a wild one. I would have been jumping up and down in excitement.
Cheers, Linda.

Hi and welcome from me as well. I am sure you will love it here.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
