Hello...I'm new...

Time to grasp the nettle as it where and say hello to everyone, I got a Homes for Wildlife e-mail the other day and it had a link to here, so I popped in for a nosey and stayed. :-)

I'm in Leicestershire, a bit far from most Reserves, went to the Bird Fair for the first time this year, spent a few bob..Ahem.

I have started to put a few snippets and pictures on my profile page,  so I just wanted to say hello and what a great site this is.  :-D

    Hi Juno

Great to hear that you managed to pay a visit to us in Fineshade Wood, if only a flying one. Hopefully you will be able to stay longer next time. Do pop into the shop next time you are around and say hello.

    Cheers Chris, It's a date.!

    Hi Juno,

The Community is a great idea, isn't it. Welcome!

I live in the inner city with a scrap of garden, but I have a pond with frogs and toads and sometimes newts, as well as a family of foxes that lives a few yards from my back door and play on the communal grass in the night-time. It's good to talk to people who love wildlife; I feel I'm desperately trying to protect it most of the time round here!

Hello Mossbucket,   I'm planning a small but perfectly formed wildlife pond in my garden in the next few months, used to have one here but it was a stinking deep hole.  It will hopefully provide all my frogs with somewhere better to spawn than the few bird baths around the place..!

Do your foxes leave you any interesting objects after there night of fun..?   The ones at my work appear to favour clothing at the moment.
