Hi, just discovered this community after a tweet on Twitter!
I've been member of the RSPB since I was a child but have only recently become more active in bird watching. Not as much as i'd like as I don't drive and the whole family comes along on trips out - a noisy 3 yr old isn't good for spotting birds! We have quite a range of garden birds that visit and I love to sit and watch those whenever I can grab a moment.
Looking forward to reading more posts

Hi Pam!
Welcome! I joined only last week but been a member of the RSPB for about 8 yrs now. It's an excellent forum & I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I have already!!

Hi Pam
Good to see another person join the forum. Everyone seems really enthusiastic and helpful so I am sure we are all going to enjoy making new friends and exchanging news and views.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Thanks for the replies!
Know how it feels with the kids - mine are a bit older 7 and 10 they now love visiting RSPB reserves and playing on the youth website - great to get them interested whilst young!
