We believe we just had one blue tit chick in our bird house and sadly it died because it's foot was stuck in the nesting material - is this common?
A couple of years ago one of ours was also caught in a piece of twine - we were watching them on the camera in the nest box. I opened the box and cut the twine - the chicks are soooo small. The mother continued feeding it for the rest of that day and it fledged the next day.
