Hi all.
My first post on this forum and newly joined and not very experienced with identifications. I was working in Northern Ireland recently and took a stroll (in between downpours) at Lough Beg & came across this little bird.
I have taken a look at the guides and am sort of convinced that it is a Meadow Pipit but the photographs (probably me) don't show much in the line of tail feathers & it was a touch breezy.
Am I correct, or am I miles out with this
A very young one. So cute
Adult meadow pipit that probably had a lucky escape. Adult with a missing tail. Photo might be misleading, but appears to have wing feather damage too.
