I didn't get a good photo but I am sure that this is a young robin was in the garden just now. All the info says that it's so very early for such a mature youngster to be out!
Hi Janet and welcome to the community ... I can't be sure that your bird is a young Robin but others may be able to help ... I have tried to enlarge your pic, hopefully you'll see it again and maybe get a front view pic?

Agree with Wendy as it doesn't look like a juvenile to me but more like an adult robin

I see Hazy, but then something is strange with this Robin. Maybe it's molting?
Shouldn't be molting this early but a breeding female could have a brood patch.
Looks like an adult to me. Colouration looks good for Robin and the bill looks perfectly formed, unlike a fledgling bill.
My husband's camera got a better shot. We are convinced it's a juvenile.
Great capture, certainly looks like a youngster but impossibly early as they normally do not get red chest feathers until late summer!
It really isn't red plumage. More pale peach. I agree, it seems very very early, but that's why I'm posting. Maybe it IS very early?
The more I look the more strange it seems ...I can't think what else it could be except maybe an adult with plumage abberation, although the head markings look a bit odd for a robin ... but wait for the more expert folk on here to comment!
