Well!! Our blue tit babies are leaving the box today and so far we think 5/6, the most recent was quite small and is by our patio door shouting and the parents are coming down, I have pulled our blinds so the parents are not put off by reflection, I am so proud of them they’ve done so well bringing huge caterpillars to their babies for days - thank god I don’t have a camera cos I’m an emotional wreck the box is close to our house as we have a courtyard garden but because of that I feel the babies have been protected by the prevailing winds we have here and also other birds - I’ve stopped feeding sparrows and now it’s much quieter but we do have a very tame robin who is almost hand feeding! Let’s hope they all fledge successfully!
Thanks all for your support and advice
