White head sparrow

I was walking along the coast earlier today (South Wales) and saw this little one - they looked like house sparrows but it has a white head? Anyone know what this is? Is it just a defect?

Hi Zoes89, sorry nobody has replied but things are a tad quiet on here the now with everyone watching nests and Ospreys!
I believe your sparrow is just that only it has a condition called leucism. You can read more about it in the link below
