Hi, just signed up as we haven't got a clue what this white bird is... It doesn't hang on our feeders.
You can probably see it has some underlying tones of yellow. We generally have finches (goldfinch, greenfinch, chaffinch, siskins), blue tits, sparrows, a couple of woodpeckers and the occassional sparrow hawk.
The photos aren't the best quality, they're crops from larger images.
Thanks for any help you can give.
Cheers, Peter (in Northumberland)
Hello Pete, welcome from me up in the very far north of Scotland, in Caithness. Certainly looks finch like, my guess is, it's what you call leuctistic , it's when the colour pigment is wrong. You can see different types of white birds on here, some all white and some only partially. Hope you enjoy being here, we are an okay, friendly bunch of folks.
Edit, If I am talking nonsense, I stand corrected. Someone will know!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
