Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can
These are pretty good trekking trousers - they convert into shorts too ....... and there's a sale on :) last year they did thermal lined ones for winter which obviously didn't zip into shorts LOL

So glad you had a repeat visit from old birder friends--always good to have a laugh with old buddies! And well done on your weekend count, or at least it sounds good to me! How does it compare with previous jaunts? When do you meet again? Photos? Or are they on another thread? We spent about 2 hours at Pulborough Brooks on Sunday in mid afternoon (you can tell we're not serious listers, or we'd be there at dawn!) Hubby counted 22 species plus Deer, Bunnies, Dragonflies, misc. other insects, and domestic Cattle and White Doves, but no Adders or Stoats this time (while I enjoyed looking!) We gave it up in favour of a cuppa, though we sat outside to keep looking. Well, you can see many of those 22 from the centre--LOL! Another hour and our count would have gone up even though it was afternoon, but we had to head home before the traffic built up!
Kind regards, Ann

Is this the birding version on The Return of the Magnificent Seven ?
I'd probably go for A) but then again are you sure you are not the group, The Old Seekers or Yardbirds ?
I think they are the Byrds. They've aged a bit, waistlines thickened and the hair has thinned but still got it.

@ TJ, that "aged a bit and thickened waistline" (not the thinning out bit !) could apply to me too LOL and love the Byrds link, but,as you say, the lads have still got it !
Hi-
no photos of us this time- we just didnt get around to it- we had 2 Lumix's with us so we have plenty of bird pics.
The Lord B and I meet up every so often- been birding together since we were 14 & 15. Doc we don't see too often- he wasnt along this time so we were the 3 musketeers this time but my current birding apprentice dropped in for Saturday morning.
We did bump into 4 birder ladies throughout the w/e. Fortunately we are all happily married binocular junkies
:)
ps- my waistline 34!
Anybody remember that series The Equaliser ?
