Took this photo, and noticed Geenfinch as been ringed, any reason why.

Your greenfinch is actually a siskin, as for being ringed you will need to wait for an expert ;-)

It's a lovely Siskin and the metal ring will be a BTO (British Trust for Ornithology) ring - this is a means of recording population numbers and movement - it can be targeted to certain species or general. Sometimes the number is readable in a photo and you can enter it and get a life history of that particular bird
