Hi,
Looking to buy a modest pair of bins for bird / nature watching. Would people recommend 8 x 42 or 10 x 42? Sub £100
Thanks for any advice.
Jon

Have a look at Nikon Travelite, you can get them as 8x25 or 10x25 and if you can spend a few extra pounds, get the weatherproof ones. Mine have been up mountains, in all weathers, rain, hail, snow, sun and just about anything the British weather could throw at them.
I retired a pair ()8x25 a couple of years ago after almost 25 years service, and all that broke was the eye cup, and bought another but 10x25. The old 8x25's are still in use at home, giving sterling service with the eye cups glued in place.
