Golden Pheasant?

Spotted today near Altrincham, Cheshire in a built up area around 4pm. Large park opposite (Wythenshawe) but otherwise it’s a densely populated area. Any thought? I’m concerned it didn’t move from the tree in over 15 mins and let me get quite close as you can see by the picture.
