Hi Maureen, I am not up on bird boxes at all I am afraid, but I wonder if there is a setting for having your viewing set for a longer period of time, maybe the minute is a default. Where is the switch that you have difficulty switching on?

I don’t think you will have a switch to turn it on or off unless you are switching the small power adapter on and off.
If it’s a set up that has a scart connector from the camera to a recorder or just a TV set picture "below" it might need to be taken out and put back in sometimes the pins don’t make a good connection taking it out and putting back in can clean the pins, I would try this first because you say you have sound all the time but loose video, if this does not cure it the scart socket might be faulty or the camera itself sadly I can’t test it from here :(

Thank you for letting us know Maureen, I would never have thought it was the TV but anything electrical can come up with a fault at some time or another.
