Greetings secret purple RSPB web pixies,
I enjoy the site very much, but might I politely request that the four buttons-Blogs, Forums, Galleries and Groups, plus "previous" and "next" be placed at both top and bottom of the page, in order to save us from furiously scrolling back up each time? And maybe a facility to italicize?
Many thanks,
MC
Morning mickycoop
Couldn't agree more, it would be very helpful. As to the italicize you can do this by pressing Ctrl I before you type your words or highlight the word and then press Ctrl I and it will do it for you, is that what you meant ?

Morning everyone, good idea about the buttons.
I didn't know about the Ctrl1 thing.
I use the other method - i in square brackets immediately before the word and /i in square brackets immediately after the word. The ctrl way is much easier, so thanks Kezmo.
Cheers, Linda.

Full of great tips today - thanks

I forgot to mention on the italicizing that you need to repeat Ctrl I to end the italics otherwise it just keeps carrying on.
You can also do Ctrl B before and after a word or piece of text to highlight it .
MarJus - now here's a funny thing, sometimes hitting the "Home" and "End" keys works for me and other times it doesn't and I don't know why, perhaps you might have an answer?
Hi Kezmo, if it doesn't work, press the shift key and home/end at the same time and it will work.

Aaaahaaaa! thanks Brenda! Hey presto it works! :-)
There are quite a few things you can do with the Ctrl key - Ctrl X to cut a piece of text out once highlighted with the cursor and Ctrl V to paste it where you want to go.

Thanks all for these keyboard tips.
Kezmo
I always use Ctrl C to copy text and Ctrl V to paste it. What's the difference between Ctrl C and Ctrl X? Is it the former for Copy and the latter for Cut?
Best wishes Chris
