If so, where is it?
I think most people just use the search box ( top right) and put in whatever they are looking for :) It works reasonably well but does have inconsistencies.
For advice about Birding, Identification, field guides, binoculars, scopes, tripods, etc - put 'Birding Tips' into the search box

Ok, thank you I'll try that.

In reply to Alan:
Now you mention it Alan I've just noticed that the Sticky to TJs map has disappeared from the home page!
In reply to see gull:
Yes it did. The "How To ..." sticky thread also disappeared. We now rely on Alan's excellent thread about how to post photos, videos etc but of course it isn't a sticky so it disappears from view

Yep Ian both the forum map and the help thread vanished a few weeks ago.
Hmm, I'll add the two links to the Getting off Auto index too :-)

I can't make head or tail of this Community hierarchy either. It doesn't seem to follow the norms of forum design at all. Normally, one would start at the top of the 'tree' and drill down. But here? No idea - and I've been trying to post a new topic this morning for half an hour already. Life is too short for this...
Somewhere I saw a reference to a forum index in the form of a PDF file. What? A *PDF* file?!! Why isn't it online, sorted, accessible by clicking?
In reply to LittleTyke:
It can be a bit bewilder learning how to navigate, until you get used to it. To post a new topic got to the top blue bar, hit either wildlife or chat and then new post, on the right. You will then see options as to where you wish to add your post.
