Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

seymouraves:- I'm 8 miles south of Aberdeen - the frozen north! We're quite lucky to be near 3 bird & wildlife sanctuarys, the RSPB Reserves Loch of Strathbeg & Fowlsheugh and the Montrose Wildlife Basin. All worth a visit.

You must be nearish to Stonehaven - were you OK in all the flooding? It was quite grim watching on the news.
