Hi-
to me it looks as if the system has gone 'Company friendly' rather than user friendly. It seems a bit disparate to me atm. It may not fit with my time constraints and personal preferences - I basically just have fun with the ID and equipment stuff and I liked them all in one place as before.
:)
I'll wait a few days and see how it fits
S - off to ID some photos of un-identified eagles
For advice about Birding, Identification, field guides, binoculars, scopes, tripods, etc - put 'Birding Tips' into the search box
Got to agree with Seymour,it's hard work navigating round the site,it may be faster but maybe the old crew have not got logged on yet

Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can
hi everyone
i just think its going to take a while to get used to it i must agree i did prefer the fact that all new posts on any forum were in one place to start off with ....it was a lot easier not that i could answer any questions myself lol

Please remove the announcements and stickies to allow us to see the actual latest posts. There is a latest post from 2009 on the front page which clearly doesn't make sense. I'm unable to find where the latest posts can actually be opened - most confusing.

I was just wondering if anyone has ever done any research into the drop off of established members after a major revamp of a forum ? I know that a few years ago I was a member of a music related forum. It had a shut down & a major refit. When I tried to log back on I couldn't do half the things I wanted to so I just stopped posting, then stopped reading other peoples posts, then stopped logging on altogether. A bit sad really.
This time round I have got 1 day to get used to it. Then I'll be off for a week to visit the rellies on Exmoor. When I get back I won't have a clue what to do !
How the hell do you edit this thing ???!!!
Sorry, didn't mean to imply in the above post that I am an established member, far from it, but I have noted from reading this thread that several established members are not too happy with the way the new forum works.
hi guys if you click on the rspb badge at the top of the page it will take you back to the beginning and the latest posts are there like they used to be on the old site
User friendly (NOT)
Why cant we have a page where all the forums are listed and then we can reply to what we want :-(
Seems the site has been designed by a committee :-(
