Since people seem to be having trouble finding the old sections of the forum, I figured I'd put up a "map" of where the old sections are so here goes (hopefully I won't get lost!)

There's also a special forum for Wales under Get Involved > We Love Wales!
To return to the Main community homepage - just click the RSPB logo/Community icon at the top left of the corner. This used to take you to the main RSPB page, but now will just take you straight back to the community home page :-)
Hope this helps a few people find some lost sections of the forum! I think I have all the ones in the old forum listed :-)

Hi Sparrow
With the forum in it's current format I probably won't be visiting very often.
Links below which were on the original forum opening page but not on the current opening page:

The blue tabs can take an age to open and when they do they don't list the areas I want to explore.

Hi Richard,
I think many of us felt the way you are feeling this time last week, but most of us have experimented and found our way round. It really isn't as bad as you think, and there are a lot of very good new features.
If finding the above forums is difficult or time consuming for you, why not save each of them as favourites using the link on the top right of each page. They then appear as links on your own profile page and are simple to find.
Please don't disappear!
Cheers, Linda.

Hi again Sparrow
For those current Forum Members who are determined to find their way around then I agree with you.
But for new comers – what must they think when they first look at the forum, I don’t know, but if I’m finding it difficult so they may also.
I’m all for change but it’s got to be usable.
Additionally - I hope they RSPB Techies will read my comments and hopefully implement some moderate changes to make it more usable.

There is another thread for problems and suggestions. The mods read it daily and log everything. It's the Report a Problem thread and is a sticky at the top of the list.

Cheers Sparrow
I am aware of that thread, but I'm hopeful that the RSPB Techies will read this thread about my Navigation issues.

Hi Richard
All of the forums you mention are still there, but they are under the blue Tabs at the top of the page. The Tabs are still there when you open the main Community page by pressing RSPB or Communiuty.
It isn't always that clear but KatTai's original post on this thread gives a list of where everything is now.
If you click on the Wildlife Tab, then click on the tab Forums, all of the old forums you mention are still there.
Wildlife in the Garden is a forum under the Get Involved Tab (for some reason that I can't work out)
The Tea Rooms are in the Chat forums.
Most of us have been finding it much quicker, and the search is now super fast, so there are benefits.
As Sparrow says, once you have found somewhere you want to go, you can save it under your Favourite Places and you don't have any trouble finding it again
Best wishes Chris

Hi Chris
Cheers for the reply and I appreciate the information - but to be honest it shouldn't be the Forum Members sorting this out it should be the RSPB Techies.
I am bit lost, I have suddenly developed 3 bars and a symbol telling me I am a man. These appear at the bottom of entries but not all entries. The bars appear to tell you where you sit in the league of participants and the symbol obviously tells you who is male or female. (what happens if you haven't disclosed that information I dread to think).
I quite like the male / female symbol, it is sometimes difficult to tell with all these false names on here. I am not sure of the benefit of knowing where I sit in the league, especially as I have no idea how many people are on here.
Edit: Having written all that it din't appear on this entry

Hi Bob,
These bars seem to be restricted to the topics in the Wildlife questions section. The person asking the questio doesn't have any, but the ones attempting an answer do. Is this some misguided way of showing the original poster who is more likely to know the answer simply because they are a top 10 contributor??????? How ridiculous! I am a prolific contributor, but know absolutely nothing!!!
How silly.
