Since people seem to be having trouble finding the old sections of the forum, I figured I'd put up a "map" of where the old sections are so here goes (hopefully I won't get lost!)

There's also a special forum for Wales under Get Involved > We Love Wales!
To return to the Main community homepage - just click the RSPB logo/Community icon at the top left of the corner. This used to take you to the main RSPB page, but now will just take you straight back to the community home page :-)
Hope this helps a few people find some lost sections of the forum! I think I have all the ones in the old forum listed :-)

The navigation on the site needs looking at. It's confusing and unnecessarily user unfriendly. Forums are easy to build. There are thousands all over the web, so I'd like to know why the RSPB web team think that this way of building a forum has not been used anywhere else.
Whoever thought this was a good idea? Crazy.
This new forum is dreadful.
Nice work KatTai.
Mods - Does the fact that this was necessary say anything to you about your site navigation, and ease of use of this new site? What used to take 2 clicks now take 5. Progress?
please put your thoughts on the squish list thread
It's both what you do and the way that you do it!
You cannot fly like an eagle with the wings of a wren. William Henry Hudson (1841 - 1922)
Thank you KatTai maybe they should of employed you to design the welcoming page for the new site as Im lost :-( lol

PS no need to reply as once I move from here I will never find my way back :-)
A very old Shropshire Lad.
One more thing to add to the map: I have just found that if you click on the RSPB Icon, next to Community, instead of taking you to the RSPB web-site like it used to do, it now takes you to the Main Community default Home page and gives a list of recent Threads and Posts for all forums and blogs.
There are several announcements and stickies on top of the list there but perseverance and pressing 'next' takes you to the most recent threads and posts in all forums.
So if you used to prefer to see details of all of the most recent posts in all of the forums, then you still can.

Best wishes Chris

Well, I've already made my suggestion to improve navigation here

I'm with madpenguin on the date format, why would we want a US format??!! Hmmm loads of untested errors.
Oh wow - thanks for this! I was just deciding to give up and not bother anymore when I found this thread. Now I think I can carry on! Thanks!!

God gave us two ears and one mouth for a very good reason!
I have copied Kat's map into a document that I can pop up when ever I need it without moving around the site - perhaps that will help me stop getting hopelessly lost!!
Thanks again Kat - it's nice to know that there are some people with 'commonsense' logic in their make up and not just electronic gobbledygook! Restores my faith in human beings!
