We are still dealing with the threat of SPAM to the communities and are doing all we can to prevent this, the last thing we want is anyone's user experience being affected.
As it stands we are manually vetting all new people registering with the community to try and ensure these people are not spammers, it can take 48 hours to vet a new user and unfortunately sometimes real people are being used to attempt to spam us so we are doing our best to vet carefully.
We are looking into a way of reinstating the old system where an account is automatically created using a single sign on but this isn't something that will be coming into play soon so please just bear with us.
