Habits of the dunnock

I have been fascinated by what I think are strange habits of a dunnock. It frequently sits in between the door mirror and the door of my car and appears to peck at its reflection. It also does this on the windows. Has anyone else noticed this sort of behaviour before. It also does it on anothe of our cars on the drive.

    Hi Ruth, yes you're right the dunnock is reacting to it's reflection  in the mirror and the windows.  I have seen same behaviour by a wren in the wing mirror of a motor bike; presume they are just territorial and protecting their patch.
