SKUA seen near the LITTLE TERN COLONY at Gronant

Was at Rhyl on Thursday and saw hundreds of juvenile Skua coming ashore with the afternoon high tide. They were forcing Black Backed Gulls to feed them and to give up their food. At Gronant at the similar afternoon high tide yesterday hundreds more were coming ashore right along side the Little Tern colony. Is the Little Tern colony at risk from these 'robber' birds as it appears these birds like to be close to tern colonies where there are good numbers of feeding terns and they can feed on the eggs and young birds. Don't think there are any eggs at Gronant now but there are definitely nearly 80 just fledged birds and about 20 or so still not fledged yet. Very worried about the future of the only Little Tern colony in North Wales after seeing these birds.
