Trouble posting pictures!

Hi im new to the site and im having trouble posting pictures. Im using an android tablet rather than a pc and ive altered the settings as suggested, but all i am able to do is uploiad a file containing a pic and not actually post a full size picture. Does anybody know if and how im able o post actual pictures????
