A few things still elude me and I would be grateful is someone could maybe help explain.
Is there any way to know if someone has replied to one of your threads? For instance; if I was to start a thread and a reply was to come back weeks later, is there any way for me to know this so as to be able to reply back if I miss it?
Within a thread there is a tab saying 'RSS', what is this?
Within a thread there is a tab saying 'subscribers'. What is this?
What is 'following' or 'being followed' and how does this work?
On my profile page when I first registered for the community, I entered my date of birth which now shows on my page under the heading 'Birthday (Legacy)'. The word 'Legacy' worries me just a bit as I don't seem to be able change or delete this part of my page. Have I inadvertently signed all my worldly goods over to the RSPB? Are they going to send out people with Wellies on to kick in my door and steal my TV and maybe the cutest of my three cats? Why can't I change this part of my profile page and what does 'Legacy' mean in relation to this?
Any help with these questions would be much appreciated. Once again thanks in advance.

Thanks Alan, much appreciated as always.
The subscribers are the number of people who are on the circulation list for that thread (I think).
I thought RSS might be for people who are hard of hearing??? I obviously didn't think it through Ha Ha.
I deleted my profile after being bombarded by a spammer, I decided it wasn't a good idea.
I always click on "your discussions" first to see if there's any new replies that way you can pick up on belated replies to old threads.

Thanks Hazel and please forgive me for maybe being a bit slow, but I can't seem to find where "your discussions" is.
