Technical issues: Are any fundamental things still not working?

This thread is for things on the community that don't work. This does not include formatting, so if there are issues with the lay out, colours or fonts please see our 'Requests for new features' thread.   

  • There has been, Bob, but my most recent contributions have been removed without comment or explanation.

    Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

    read between the lines here about priorities   guys-  I've been listening to front-line staff at a number of reserves  in the last year and here's an illustration:

    Overheard a member renewing an annual membership who was told that as it had expired  it was technically a new membership which was great as it looked better on their returns to the Lodge than just a renewal.

    It's a business-  ref my post a while back about the Book dept. at the Lodge not knowing standard bird watching terminology.

  • I am here. Clare, I have sent LImpy a pm. As I was on leave on Friday, I believe work is being carried out over the weekend as outlined in Ben's update, I am sure we will have feedback on how that went on Monday. I will be back in the office myself on Monday and will do my best to see that this happens.

  • OK, I'll keep it short.

    1  I can sometimes post - frequently the post vanishes and I get an error message referring to the administrator.  At other times I can't post at all - I can be signed in but every single thread I go into has no box to type in.

    2  I haven't seen my list of friends for a very long time.  I can't accept new requests except by email - Limpy also has this issue.

    3  I can only respond to the occasional private message - most of the time, when I hit 'post', the whole reply vanishes and I get the error message again.

    4  I was able to post images when I last tried, though I got the usual error message on my first attempt.  At least I didn't have to go past a second.

    I'm not prepared to try a different browser as I've had the same problem on more than one and it is just getting to be a complete palaver.

    I will not say to much on this, but over 24hr and no response.
