I've just used the survey but it didn't ask me what the problem actually was - I found myself signed out for no reason when I moved to the main Community page.
EDIT - when I tried to post the previous part of this post I got an error message and it didn't post.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
The survey has now been updated. Hopefully you will find it more useful now.

Hello,
The specific problems being looked into are mostly related to the performance of the community which has many knock on affects. There are also issues with how notifications work which are being looked at.
I just had to give up trying to post "Done" on here, close down everything and reboot - now I hope it will post.

Thanks for your suggestions Bob. I think it would be a good idea to have this as a home page sticky, so we'll look into that. The duplication of certain issues on the survey will tell us about common issues and even if there is a solution, problems reported will also tell us about the usability issues with the community. For these reasons we will not be publishing issues unless they are time bound technical failures that affect all community users.
