Sorry I cut off the thread to the piece I wrote about the adopted goslings. They make their second appearance below. I was wondering how unusual it was for greylag parents to accept other parentless goslings with their own young. You can see the disparity in age in my picture. The two larger gosling were part of a family of six, but their parents and four siblings disappeared about a week ago and the 'orphans' hitched up with another famiy, into which they have been accepted.
