A short database update will take place this afternoon at 15:00-16:00 pm. It is highly unlikely this will have any performance impact while running. The update will resolve issues with email failure in the job scheduler, and with some problems with photo uploads in certain versions of Firefox. If you do have any feedback or do experience any problems during this time, let us know on this thread and we will see if we can address them.
Many Thanks,
RSPB Moderators
Why not check out the news from the wildlife enquiries team?
Hi all
Thanks for your patience in this matter, all being well we will have photo uploads returned tomorrow. I will let you know when we hear from the system & support team. Once again sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Regards
Tom and the mods
I’m afraid the status problem is a bit trickier. It looks like something in the upgrade has broken the bespoke RSPB status widget. However we have logged this and are waiting to hear back. Thanks again.
Cheers
Tom
This is a test of photo uploads:
Blimey Alan, that first photo you've just posted looks like something out of the Alien.
Oh good, my upload worked as well.

Thanks doggie! Taken in South Africa. I'll leave the ID as a challenge for someone. Shouldn't be too hard :)
As you can see photo uploads are now working again. Thanks to Jason... and thanks for all your patience.
Thanks Jason and everyone else involved!
Defo some sort of turkey!
Cheers, Linda.

Still cant post any pix or do the quote thing in rich formatting :-(
Can post links though but of course thats not in rich formatting.
Even downloaded Firefox but no joy.
I guess I will keep my photos to myself and just sit and enjoy all of your super pix on site :-)
A very old Shropshire Lad.
Hi ChrisS,
So, are you having the same problems in different browsers? I did some tests on a variety of browsers and I found that Firefox was still causing me problems, until I completely cleared the browser history. IE8, IE9 and Chrome were all fine immediately.
Other folks on the forum seem to have been able to use quoting without any trouble both before and after the fix, which makes it sound like it's something personal to your ID or your browser. If changing browser and clearing history doesn't help, I'll see if I can see anything unusual about your ID.
Jason.
Dont know what you did Jason but it worked :-)
Thank you.
