Wow, it's suddenly started working - no it's back to dead slow again

It turns out the electric had run out but np I bunged the RSPB 50p so they could put it in the meter so we should be ok until about 23.35, so get all your postings in by then. ;o)

I closed down everything and logged in afresh.  Seem to have found a good server at last.  Now even more convinced that the problem lies with this website.

I am at a loss - it was slow, then quick and is now slow again so I thought I would try the trick of logging off and on.  It won't let me sign out.

I was never in doubt that the problem was with the system/software their end despite them trying to blame our ISP's. I'm going to remain logged in when I shut down the computer tonight and see what happens tomorrow.

Yes Claire, I'm still logged in. There are some weird goings on but I don't think the Mods believe us.

There is a time delay of some sort on the list, which could explain how it goes from 2 to 20 in one refresh, but it is normally accuarate as far as I can see.

None of you are on my list at the moment! In fact there are 15 on it and I have only heard of 2 of them ROFL.

Who are all the strange names? I've never seen most of them posting anywhere.

EDIT. The strangers have gone now and I have 8 regulars!

Well, it jolly well serves me right for calling it "My server".

It's gone very funny on me. The pages only partially load and the graphics aren't showing, not even the navigation tabs in the blue bar at the top.

Good job it's bed time.

Let's hope the reply function works.
